This exciting 10-day journey showcases Tanzania’s best national parks and the idyllic island of Zanzibar. Visit Serengeti National Park, home to the largest wildlife concentrations and the annual wildebeest migration, Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s most scenic conservation area, and Lake Manyara National Park. Finish your adventure with a relaxing beach holiday on Zanzibar Island.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Town

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), your Yaneta Safaris guide will greet you. You will then be driven to your accommodation in Arusha Town for the night. If you arrive early, you’ll have free time at your hotel.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart from your hotel and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Arriving in time for lunch at the camp, you’ll then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara is known for its stunning location at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. The park features a shallow soda lake, home to elephants, rare tree-climbing lions, and flocks of flamingos.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, you’ll journey to Serengeti National Park. The route takes you through the highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After descending into the Serengeti, you will arrive at the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive

Today, embark on a full-day game drive through the Serengeti. You can also opt for a hot air balloon ride (at an extra cost), offering a unique aerial view of the plains and wildlife. After breakfast, head out on a full-day game drive along the Kopjes Circuit, where you’ll spot lions, cobras, and other wildlife, especially near the weathered granite outcrops known as kopjes.

Day 5: Southern Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in the Ndutu area of the Southern Serengeti. This region is known for its lion, Thomson gazelle, ostriches, and cheetah sightings. Take a break at the center in the southern Serengeti, where you can explore wildlife displays and shop for local gifts.

Day 6: Another Full Day Game Drive in Southern Serengeti

Today, continue exploring Southern Serengeti. After breakfast, venture back into the Ndutu area for more game viewing. This region’s abundance of wildlife and serene landscapes provides excellent opportunities for photography and wildlife sightings.

Day 7: Southern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, visit Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site where anthropologists discovered ancient human fossils. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, embark on an afternoon game drive inside the crater, one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders.

Day 8: Arusha to Zanzibar

Following a leisurely breakfast, check out from the lodge and head back to Arusha. From here, fly to Zanzibar, a beautiful island known for its sandy beaches and rich culture. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an afternoon of relaxation at the beach.

Day 9: Zanzibar Beach Vacation

Today, spend your day enjoying the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar. Alternatively, explore the island’s many attractions, including water sports, the spice tour, Stone Town, Jozani Forest, Prison Island, or Dolphin Tours. Discover the vibrant marine life with a snorkeling and dolphin-watching tour, or visit the Jozani Forest Reserve to see the famous red colobus monkeys.

Day 10: Departure from Zanzibar Airport

Your unforgettable tour ends today. After a relaxing morning, you can take a tour of the spice plantations or explore Stone Town (optional at extra cost). Then, you’ll be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your departure. If you’re flying home from Nairobi, we can arrange that connection for you at an additional cost.
