On this 5-day magical safari to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara, a stunning mix of landscapes and wildlife awaits. Visitors are taken through open savannahs, bird-filled lakes, and lush forests where nature thrives in its purest form. At Lake Naivasha, hippos are often seen wallowing, while boat rides offer close views of aquatic life and exotic birds.

In Lake Nakuru National Park, the lake’s edges are colored pink by flamingos, and white rhinos roam freely. The forested areas around the lake are home to leopards and colobus monkeys, adding depth to the safari experience.

The journey continues to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve. Here, the Big Five roam the endless plains, and predators like lions and cheetahs can be seen in action. Wildebeests and zebras dot the landscape, especially during the migration season.

Schedule Details

Day 1 Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

Pick up from the airport or hotel and drive to Lake Naivasha with a stopover at Great Rift valley escarpment for 20-30 mins. After that we proceed with a stop at Hell’s Gate National, the park, which is mainly, comprised of the savannah ecosystem harbors a wide variety of wildlife including birds like; vultures, Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzard, and swifts. Wildlife includes; African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to the klipspringer antelope. Later in the evening, you can have an optional boat ride at blue lake Naivasha.

Day 2 Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders’ as the greatest ornithological spectacle on earth. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes lining on the lakeshore. The park is also a sanctuary to the black rhino, white rhino, and the Rothschild giraffe. Birdlife includes common species like the lesser and greater flamingoes, African fish eagle, Tawny eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra-African migrants. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in this park that has a dense population of other wildlife before returning back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 Lake Nakuru NP – Masai Mara National Reserve

After Breakfast we depart to Masai Mara Game Reserve, the landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers thus been one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. Arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.

Day 4 Masai Mara Plains

Spend another 2 full days in Masai Mara with unlimited game drives in the reserve, exploring the park in search of the Big 5. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopards, many kinds of antelopes, and elephants. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.

Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Zebra Plains Mara Camp.

Day 5 Masai Mara National reserve- Nairobi

Wake up for an early morning game drive in Masai Mara then return back to the camp for late breakfast. We depart Mara for the return journey back to Nairobi with en-route lunches. Safari ends in Nairobi at approximately 16:30. Drop off your hotel or airport.
