The 8-day wildlife safari for chimpanzee and gorilla tracking is designed to offer a rich experience of Uganda’s natural and cultural heritage. Throughout the journey, visitors are introduced to some of the country’s most iconic destinations. First, the adventure begins in Jinja, where the source of the Nile is found and various water activities can be enjoyed.
Next, Murchison Falls National Park is explored, where powerful waterfalls are formed as the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge. Game drives and boat cruises are conducted, allowing sightings of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and a wide range of bird species. Later, the journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where tree-climbing lions and other wildlife are often observed.
Afterward, Kalinzu Forest is visited for chimpanzee tracking. Here, travelers are given a chance to witness these intelligent primates in their natural environment. In the final days, a trek is led through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to endangered mountain gorillas. This moment is often described as life-changing.
In addition to Wildlife Safari, Chimps & Gorilla Tracking, cultural encounters are shared with local communities, offering insight into Uganda’s traditions. For smooth travel, an early inbound and a late outbound flight are highly recommended.
